Well it looks like spring is here in the UK. It's a brilliant day today, blue skies and the sun is wonderfully warm – well at least by UK standards – and it looks like I'm not the only one to like April (my birthday's this month). It's going to be an amazing month for SharePoint 2010 as well. SharePoint 2010 will RTM this month, with a launch date of May 12^th. So there are a whole series of events that are occurring in the UK this April to celebrate, including:

• Microsoft Tech Days, where on the 13^th April, I'll be co-hosting the third session of the "Office 2010 – the next wave" day, with Viral Tarpara titled, "Overview and What's New for SharePoint 2010 for IT Pros". The event is in London, it's a free event and is completely sold out, but you can add yourself to the waiting list. Join the conversations on twitter @uktechdays and tweet with #uktechdays.
  
• Later that evening, there are official fringe events at cinemas near you. There's going to be a short DVD outlining the key features of the new Microsoft offerings then a private screening of the Easter blockbuster movie – Clash of the Titans 2010!!, sign up quick, spaces are limited, so register using the following links:

• Then the week commencing 19^th April, there's the 3-day, SharePoint 2010 Evolution Conference MMX. It's taking place at the same venue as last's years Best Practices event – Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London, UK - opposite the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. This is Europe's premier SharePoint Conference for 2010. If you haven't already registered for it, do so – NOW! You will truly regret it if you don't. There's also a prize draw for registering for the event.

  There's a large number of sessions, (you can download the schedule straight to Outlook), an Exhibitor evening reception, a SharePint evening at the Old Star Pub, a Conference Party night and a post conference DVD containing the recordings of the sessions. The speakers list is just awe inspiring – it's a Who's Who of the SharePoint world, and I'm lucky to be presenting three sessions:

  • IW102 What's New with SharePoint Designer 2010, Day 1, April 19^th: 11:00 – 12:00
  • IW207 SharePoint and Access: Better together, Day 2, April 20^th: 10.00 – 11.00
  • IT109 Windows PowerShell for SharePoint 2010, Day 2, April 20^th: 14:00 – 15:00
